BAD BATCH are a 4 piece garage/punk/pop/whatever-else-inspires-them-on-the-day band from Melbourne who began in early 2017 after founding members Betty & Sheezy met while skateboarding. They connected on nearly every level, including a love for making noise. Humble beginnings saw Betty (initially drums/vocals) and Sheezy (guitar/vocals) drinking beers in a dingy rat-poo filled shed in Northcote. After a few jams they decided they wanted a drummer to add to the mix so Betty could focus on singing and move to guitar. They knew exactly who they wanted, and she said yes! Rat (Em Tatt) had been playing drums for yonks and had already blown the existing members away when they saw her slay at a warehouse party at Hotshots in Footscray… So then there were three. Sheezy was eventually convinced that they should jam with a bass player, so they recruited the toughest girl from primary school, Phiney, to join the fam. By late November 2017 Bad Batch were fully formed and ready to hatch. Their sound is a mix of all of their musical backgrounds with a versatile range of songs, consistent in its power and rawness. Rehearsals are like a party where they all let loose and be themselves, luckily that translates very well on stage and encourages a really, truly, fucken good time!
