When they aren’t smashing down cones or skating up a storm, Gold Coast lords Radolescent are bashing out fierce and fiery punk rock anthems that outright demand you scream along.
Radolescent are made up of three young fellas from the Gold Coast who like their music loud and their beer’s cold.
After throwing parties and pissing the neighbours off a little to often, the three started looking for a space to play and write songs and were lucky enough to use a friends surf school warehouse to jam and keep their gear. Years on the band can still call this their space.
2017 found the band releasing their first four track EP title “Scrape Ya Plate” which quickly turned their warehouse jams, into a live audience and stage outfit. Taking a break from live shows at the start of 2018 gave the band an opportunity to record their catalogue of written material. Their newest offering being ‘Drug Fiend’ off their upcoming EP explores the definition of just that.
It’s hard to rip yourself away from the drive of this catchy surf rock inspired singalong, with a vocal hook from start to finish.
Lyrically the band always tries to represent the “questionable” choices they make and how they have shaped them both musically and as people in their day to day lives. Creating scream along songs that embrace all that is good about being human, the band hopes to highlight the joys of being far from perfect. So grab a beer, hug your mates and at the end of the day everything is going to be okay!
